Symphony ~ Dudamel Conducts Sibelius at The Disney Concert Hall

This Saturday evening Gustavo Dudamel will conduct a Baltic themed program with the young Russian violin virtuoso Alina Pogostkina, making her LA Phil debut. The music, a soaring concerto for violin and string orchestra by Latvian composer Peteris Vasks and Symphony # 5 by Sibelius should not be missed.

Farmers Market ~ Autry Farmers Market in Griffith Park

There’s a new Farmers Market in town and I for one am thrilled. The new market sets up shop every Saturday from 8 to 12 in the parking lot of the charming Autry Museum right across from the LA Zoo.
