This Sunday evening take in our renowned chamber music performers in an intimate, stage free environment on the 5th Floor of the Dorothy Chandler. It is the first show of their new season and they will be performing a program of Brahms Sonata-Scherzo “FAE” Opus Posthume and Brahms Piano Quintet. What a wonderful opportunity to hear music in an elegant and informal setting, post performance mingle with the performers, while you enjoy an informal buffet and champagne. Music, conversation and champagne! what could be better?




Fashion ~ Il Teatro alla Moda ~ Theatre in Fashion~  The Wallis Annenberg Center For The Performing Arts

It’s time for a Beverly Hills outing! Opening tomorrow is the United States debut of Il Teatro alla Moda-Theatre in Fashion. The first exhibition to explore Italy’s iconic Haute Couture designers and their impact on the stages of opera, dance and theatre. Come see the transformation of the Beverly Hills Italian Renaissance Post Office, into a performing arts venue and peruse over 80 costumes, drawings and sketches on view by Armani, Ferretti and Versace. Why not make a day of it and stroll down to to enjoy a bite at Spago or Bouchon post exhibit.







Ballet ~ Scottish Ballet at The Music Center

This weekend the esteemed Scottish Ballet arrives on our shores for the first time in 25 years. They will showcase two very different ballets on a double bill of ballet, Sir Kenneth Mac Millan’s masterful, Song of the Earth and in contrast a new work by the contemporary choreographer Jorma Elo. It promises to be an exciting night at the ballet with something for everyone.
